And thanks to my traveling colleagues, Tracey Myers, Chris Kuc, Chris Hine, and Scott Powers, for bearing with me while I invariably whined over dinner and drinks about the workload I foolishly heaped upon myself midseason.
But most of all, thanks to my wonderful wife, Christin, who was my first editor for this book, and who has permitted me to spend the last five years gallivanting about North America (and Russia) while working my dream job, leaving her to be a single working mom of two adorable but ridiculous little girls about 120 nights a year. I have no idea how she summons the strength and patience and resolve, but I’m eternally grateful for it. It helps that she’s a journalist, too. She gets it. And I love her for it.
